I need advice for my 2 year old boy to really be on the potty and use it!!?
My son used to stay in the potty! I have tried to leave it sitting on the big toilet with a little padding and leave your laptop sitting in his bath seat. He will sit as 5 seconds and then it's gone! I tried give books and toys for play. I even put it in front of the TV and put Blues Clues (his favorite) and hes still up! I tried to give up and aim for Cheerios and nothing. I even tried the reward system and put some toys in a box and every time he pees in the bath or stinkys gets to choose a toy. I do not want to force and I want to learn at their own time. I know when he has to go. He hold himself and say mom Pee Pee and run to the bathroom, but he did not stay there long enough to go and ends up urinating on the floor or in a diaper if ctach enough to put one of them. Anyway is a very hyperactive child. I'm in my view. HELP! Thank you!
not stressed. if you see and use the situation as a weapon against you.he may not be ready for that yet not force the issue. First, concentrate on getting him used to the bathroom. if you use it, even the smallest of leaks, etc. offer plenty of praise and affection and tell him proud you are. if he does nothing about it, not make an issue out of it. Postive reinforcement of learn. ps do not go the way bribary, not worth it.
