Carpal tunnel can literally let it fall into one of our favorite pastimes – reading a book. Maintains an open book, sometimes for long periods becomes so painful that thousands of people decide they have no choice but to abstain. It is often recommended to use a well-designed book stand.
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a common disorder that causes pain and interferes with the use of the hand. It is caused by pressure on the median nerve as the nerve passes through a channel formed by the bones and ligaments in the wrist (carpal tunnel). A wide variety of conditions can cause carpal tunnel to narrow and pressure on the median nerve, including injuries such as wrist fractures, arthritis complicated by inflammation of the tendons in the carpal tunnel, pregnancy, which may cause the synovium around the tendons to thicken, and glandular abnormalities, such as diabetes and thyroid disorders. Work that involves repetitive motions of the wrist can also cause carpal tunnel syndrome. The symptoms of carpal tunnel syndrome include pain and numbness in the thumb and index, middle and ring fingers. Many people wake up at night with these symptoms. Some suffer from the weakness of the muscles of the hand and objects can fall. Symptoms often occur when the wrist is bent during activities such as driving a car or a book while reading.
Doctors treat carpal tunnel syndrome, trying to improve the underlying condition. In many cases, doctors apply a wrist splint and prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs. In some cases, surgery is performed to relieve symptoms and prevent permanent damage to the median nerve.
Speaking from experience there is no doubt that the discomfort and pain is considerable and we can stop doing the simplest tasks, but the trouble repeating of the conclusion of an open book that is constantly trying to close itself is a big problem. For some people reading is an important part of life, both for leisure and at work and can be a favorite pastime for many.
A well-designed holder of the book containing the last pages with firmness can be a life-changing product in these circumstances and can get back to victims the pleasure of reading a book!
